UCSF Rock Hall Dekker Lab Vac System Replacement

Industry: Laboratories, Hospitals and Healthcare
Type: Equipment

Description

Installation of  (N) Dekker Laboratory Vacuum System.

Scope of Work

Project: Rock Hall Laboratory Vacuum System Replacement

The original specification and basis of design for the (E) Dekker Laboratory Vacuum System:

  • 675 ACFM @ 28”HGVAC = 45 SCFM @ 28”HGVAC Each Vacuum Pump
  • This equates to approx. 250 vacuum inlets.

The typical laboratory design at 25”HGVAC at the vacuum pump inlet, gives approx. 23”HGVAC at the point of use. Using this as a current design parameter. The current system design requirement would be 270 ACFM @ 25”HGVAC = 45 SCFM @ 25”HGVAC.

  • AES-Dekker Laboratory Vacuum System Model AES-VMXVFD0303KA3-00-ES
    • (3) Dekker Titan single stage 20HP liquid ring vacuum pump skids.
      • 45 SCFM @ 25”HGVAC Each Vacuum Pump
    • System Components Include:
      • (3) TEFC Electric motors, 230/460 Volt, 3 Phase, Premium Efficiency.
      • (3) Flexible Couplings
      • (3) Fabricated Steel Baseplates Mounted on Common Base.
      • (3) Patented DX5 Discharge Separator-Reservoirs with 5 Stage Air/Oil Separation, Including Coalescing Filter.
      • (3) Seal Fluid Isolation Valves
      • (3) Y-Strainers
      • (3) Service Liquid Solenoid Valves, 24VDC.
      • (3) Separator Drain Valves
      • (3) Separator Sight Level Gauges
      • (3) Temperature RTD for Discharge Temperature Indication and High Temperature Protection.
      • (3) High/Low Oil Level Switches
      • (3) Air-Cooled, Heat Exchanger Packages with Main Motor Driven Fan and Fan Guard.
